One of the world's leading creative women, Isabella Blow vitalized the fashion
industry and her suicide left it bereft. Countless high-profile and successful
members of the fashion community owe their start and status to Isabella.
However, as the plethora of articles in magazines describes, where she served
as a Fashion Director, contributor, stylist, muse or inspiration, Isabella's
relationship with the fashion industry was profoundly complicated. Tragically,
it embodied the most conflicted aspects of the fashion community's ethics,
identity and aspirations.
M.R is currently assembling a collection of testimonies from Isabella's family,
friends and colleagues, including editors, models and designers, to produce
a memorial consisting of writings and pictures. The book will be in form of
memorial hand writings by individuals who all have played a major role in
Isabella’s life.
These people already include:
• Anna Wintour
• Philip Treacy
• Mario Testino
• Giles Deacon
• Manolo Blahnik
• Tara Palmer-Tompkinson …& many more…..
